LAST CONCERTO

Last Concerto is a piece created for five dancers from the legendary Cloud Gate Dance Company of Taiwan in 2025.

The show is an ode to our passion for movement and the love of music. 

 

It takes inspiration from renowned violin player Lajkó Félix whose virtuosity is nearly unmatched.

Yet, he’s capacity isn’t in perfection but rather in the life-like, imperfect, and total focus. He is a spontaneous musician who seamlessly blends improvisation with rigid compositions. 

 

Wei and Zoltan have been practicing and dancing with the same desire. Finding and delivering joy and passion through the challenge of improvisation with structure and determined scores. 

 

The five dancers in Last Concerto are learning and adding to the dance vocabulary of LEE\VAKULYA while completing the two scores (Solo; Uneven) from Lajkó Félix with their dance and presence.
